Matteo Melan

A self-taught creative from an early age, Matteo Melan began his journey in music composition alongside hip-hop artists - It’s through these collaborations that he refined his sound, developed a distinct artistic identity, and honed his skills as a sound engineer - Driven by basslines rooted in hip-hop and layered with evocative, soul-inflected melodies, his music unfolds like a physical presence in space—something to be felt as much as heard, engaging both body and mind - Originally conceived for live settings, his compositions now accompany fashion shows, exhibitions, performances, theater pieces, and experimental projects. Matteo also produces under the alias ROUGE, a personal project that fully embodies his universe: deep, visual, intriguing, and immersive. Guided by a desire to create a direct connection with the audience, he approaches each piece as an experience—drawing listeners into an immersive world where they become part of the work itself.
